Put a mask on Oscar Gutierrez and he's a fearless competitor.
Even though he's 5-foot-4 and 170 lbs. soaking wet, as Rey Mysterio, Gutierrez takes on all comers.
That included big boys like Kevin Nash, Scott Norton and Ric Flair in WCW. And Kurt Angle, JBL, Brock Lesnar and Big Show in WWE.
"I've mixed it up with the heavyweights," says Mysterio. "The big-man, little-man thing is overblown."
Okay, so maybe it's not such a big deal. At least not as big a deal as his current feud with Eddie Guerrero.
"Working with Eddie has been a rollercoaster," says Mysterio. "I would go to see him wrestle in Tijuana when I was a fan.
"He's educated me in wrestling."
It's a little different kind of education these days.
You see in a WWE storyline, Guerrero says he's the real father of Mysterio's eight-year-old boy, Dominik.
"This has been affecting me psychologically," says Mysterio. "I didn't think it would hit (Dominik) this way ..."
Okay, let's leave it there. There seems to be a fine line between storyline and reality. No need to get too wrapped up in details.
Mysterio says he loves the wrestling life, the notoriety and everything that goes along with it. Oh, and his grand entrance before every match.
"There's the music, the fans ... the moment of truth, the three seconds before I get launched into the air," says Mysterio. "It's an awesome feeling."
Mysterio's a good guy, a role he likes.
"I don't think my character could go bad," he says. "Some people can be bad guys, but I'm not a bad guy in the ring or in real life.
"I feed off my fans. We all have bad days ... when we're a little grumpy ... but even on my worst day, I have time to sign autographs. It's a blessing from God so I've got to have a good heart."
A good heart and a heckuva lot of wrestling ability.

I wonder what he means about Dominik?

Well its what the reporters asked him about. He sort of has to stay in character when the press asks him questions about storyline. It's a good interview though.
I just thought of something that might happen next in the storyline. We're going to find out eddie's bedtime story was a little wrong. You see he is dominik's father but it didn't happen like he said. See what happened was one of eddie's kids and dominik somehow got switched at birth or maybe at daycare or something because i'm not sure if any of eddie's kids were actually born around the time of dominik but that wont matter to the wwe, and rey is really the father of one of eddie's kids. Yep that's all they can do if they want to keep the storyline alive.
Yea but seriously if they want to keep the storyline going they're going to have to do something like that. Otherwise they need to end it at summerslam because it's not going to be very interesting to anyone anymore.
Did u notice wrestling has been turning into like a soap opera the past couple years?
i think too many people just dont remember good wrestling and stuff. They're just into storylines and promos. Maybe if we had more matches or something some of that would come back but i dont know.
I agree, wrestling has really gone down hill on storylines, I mean, all companies have storylines, but companies like ECW paired them with great wrestling so it's okay. Now all we have are two latinos crying in the ring, I mean the social worker had the most physical part on SD! this week; JBL crying for his title; and Jericho crying his poor me's over his band and stuff.

Yeah exactly. If they just did more wrestling. Thats why I was so shocked last week on raw because there was more wrestling than usual. Maybe that Nickelodeon lady will figure something out. haha
I really hope things start to get more physical soon. I mean, I think things will pick up after Summerslam, at least with Eddie and Rey, because this whole custody thing will hopefully be done with.

Remember when I wondered what could be going on with Dominik that would cause Rey to say that, and ya'll told me it was just storyline speak, well here, it's not, just read:
While the Rey Mysterio/Eddie Guerrero custody saga might come off as a run-of-the-mill soap opera storyline to the many WWE viewers, to one person, the pain and anguish expressed by the performers is all too real.
According to PWTorch.com, young Dominick is currently suffering from emotional distress related to the angle. While he's obviously heavily briefed as to its fiction, sources indicate that between witnessing his father cry, Eddie Guerrero portray a heartless villain and thousands of live fans sell the angle as legitimate, it would be impossible for someone in Dominick's position not to experience some sort of trauma.
The custody battle, which is the latest development in an ongoing feud between Guerrero and Mysterio, will lead to another match between the two at Summerslam. The backstage reaction to the on-air performances has been overwhelmingly positive, a reaction that goes hand-in-hand with the fact that the segments continue to draw very well for WWE SmackDown.

They're gonna have to end the fued at Summerslam now. Rey's not going to let it continue if it's hurting Dominik. (how the hell do you actually spell his name is it -ik or -ick?) This will have to end soon.
If it is true then the storyline will be stopping but I kinda dont think its true. I really dont think rey would have even considered doing it if it was going to hurt dominik. And i'm not sure about the name thing but I suggest finding a picture of rey with his arms up and checking the spelling.
thats a weird way to spell check but it will work. lol
I think its true though, because they didn't know it was gonna hurt Dominik in the beginning. All the stuff with his dad crying and Eddie being really freaky only happened just recently. That's prolly why they're gonna finish it at Summerslam. This storyline is too big to just cancel now so Summerslam is the earliest they can end it.
It's true, I mean, I imagine that at first he was okay with it, because what kid wouldn't want to go to work with daddy, whose a wrestler. However, once he got in there, and saw the acting first hand, then to an eight year old, that's too much. I bet he's really upset over his mom crying too.
BTW, it's spelled Dominik, with and ik, trust me on this, I know.

That, and if you look on Rey's site, and Eddie's for that matter, they have his named spelled correctly, and it's been put on Rey's site way before this too.

I doubt he gets confused, and I think it's Calloway. Not really based on any specific reasoning except that I've seen it spelled that way a lot more often the Callaway.

Yea i dont think dominik gets confused. He's probably used to it by now. As for takers last name i suggest looking in the WWE Unscripted book. But then again if wwe got dominiks name wrong they might get takers wrong too.
