Lightning (Show 1)

(Opening) The show opens with JBL standing in the middle of the ring with a mic in hand.

JBL- "What a glorious day to be a professional wrestler and a professional wrestling fan. Today we begin a trip, a trip into a new era of sports entertainment, and in the new age of announcers as well. I, JBL, will give you all and experience of a lifetime. With my superior wrestling skills, and even better announcing skills, you will never be bored or out of action.  I am a wrestling god, and you all will be struck by my Lightning!

(Pyros) Just as the speech ends, lightning strikes the ring. It sets off a chain of ear deafaning pyros and ends with a blast. The crowd can't get enough as they all stay on their feet, far past the end of the pyros end.

---Commercial Break---

(Back stage) The titanton shows a scene from back stage. A limo pulls up, and out of it comes Kevin Nash. X-Pac is shown talking to someone on a phone. And by the looks, he is planning something for later. Nash looks ready and well rested, and he heads towards the locker room. On his way Tommy Dreamer bumps into him, nearly knocking both men off their feet.

Nash- "What the hell are you doing Tommy?"

Dreamer- "The same should be asked of you, old man."

Nash-" You know what Tommy, You SUCK!"

            The two men exchange punches. Officials rush to the scene to break things up.

Dreamer-" You're going to get it later. Just wait!"

Nash- "Bring it!"

---Commercial Break---

(Match 1- AJ Styles v. Rey Mysterio)

            AJ makes his first ever appearance in the IWF, and surprisingly, gets a good deserved reaction. Rey appears, and the crowd goes crazy.

JBL- "This match is going to be a great showing of what we here on Lightning. These men don't have any bad vibes between them, so we know that the respect will make for a great match."

            Cruiserweight action has never been better. Aj and Rey exchange moves evenly. Rey will throw Aj to the ropes, and Aj reverses with a hurricarna. AJ then puts Rey in a key lock, but Rey jumps up and bulldogs Styles to the ground. The men give all, and soon their stamina wears down. Aj off the ropes, Rey off the ropes, then a double clothesline, and the two men are out. The ref counts to 8 and the men are back up, staggering as the rights and lefts are exchanged. Aj gets the upper hand and suplexes Rey out of the ring. Styles rests thinking that Mysterio is out, but he is hanging on the apron. Rey jumps on the rope just as Aj turns around; going for the seated senton but Styles quickly reverses it into a powerbomb. The crowd is fully behind AJ Styles now, and he goes for the finish. Not using what he's done in the past, Aj climbs the turnbuckle, keeping an eye on his down competitor. Risking it all, Styles flips off the turnbuckle onto the man below. The shooting star press missed, as Rey rolled out of the way. AJ goes for the follow-up running at Mysterio, but Rey toe drops him onto the middle rope. Dial it up for the 6-1-9!  Rey runs, but misses as he spins around. AJ goes after him, but Rey springboards off the rope and finishes up the 619 for the pin.

            Rey helps up AJ Styles, and then asks for a mic.

Rey-"That was a great match. We cannot doubt your talent and skills. Therefore I want a rematch. Yes, you heard me. Me and you, next week right here on Lightning. But I want you to choose the match. Anything that you can think up. I don’t' care. I want to give these fans another go at Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles."

---Commercial Break---

(In Ring) General Manager Theodore Long is in the ring and very enthusiastic about some good news.

T LO- "let me just say, what a great night already. Thank you fans. You are what we are about. You are what this show is about. And you are what drive the superstars to do what they do. But they are missing one thing...A leader. Lightning needs a champion, and I have selected 4 men to fight it out. Next, you will see two matches to determine #1 contenders. First will be Randy Orton vs. Johnny. Then it will be immediately Hulk Hogan vs. Shawn Michaels. There are no DQ's or count-outs. The winners will face each other next week, for the World Heavyweight Championship. Let’s not hold things up. Johnny and Orton are right now.

(Match 2- Randy Orton vs. Johnny--#1 contenders match)

            Randy Orton appears first, and the crowd doesn't really care. He plows through the boos and poses in the ring. Johnny makes his way down. Excited that he was selected, he plays to the crowd, trying to get them behind him. He takes forever getting to the ring, as he is talking to the ladies, and showing off to their guys. Meanwhile, while Johnny is showing off, Orton is measuring up the marked man. Johnny finally makes his way up the steps, crosses into the ring, and takes one final look at the crowd; a mistake. Randy RKO's him just as he turns around. The cover wins Orton the match, and it only took 5 seconds.

            Hulk Hogan runs down the ramp. His match is next, but what does he want?

Hogan-"Listen brother, we are in this thing, and I’m going to win and take you down. Do you know why? You are a young man, with no manners. And you think that you have a chance with my daughter? No way in hell. You are no where close to my league, and farther from hers."

            Hogan continues to ramble on, as his opponent makes his way from the back, unnoticed.

(Match 3- Hulk Hogan vs. Shawn Michaels--#1 contenders match)

            DING DING. Just as the bell sounds, Hogan turns around. Smack! Hogan just got nailed with the sweet chin music. Michaels pins and gets the win. Also in 5 seconds. Both men will face each other next week for the World Heavyweight Championship. But the two men aren't done today. Shawn Michaels and Orton argue over who was better. Both men got their opponents with surprise finishes. Both won in five seconds. But who is better? Who has the upper hand? All of a sudden Kurt Angle comes out. All three men stand in the ring, not knowing what will happen. All of a sudden Kurt Angle goes after Shawn Michaels. The Angle slam knocks down Shawn. Then Orton joins in on the beat down. The two men were in it from the beginning. The attack continues, until X-Pac runs down. This must be what he was talking about earlier. X-Pac runs into the ring and helps with the attack. But not for real. He turns around and gives both Orton and Angle some old school x-factors. Angle gets up and is about to nail X-Pac, when Michaels nails Angle with the music. X-Pac and Michaels kick Orton and angle out, and speak to the crowd.

X-Pac-"Early this morning, I got a call from this man, the heart break kid. He proposed a deal to me. I help him out tonight, and continue to help him, and in exchange, we go for the Tag championships. I agree, as I want to hold championship gold again. Therefore we issue a challenge, to any tag for next week. And the match will be for the tag team championship. I and Shawn would like to introduce all of you, and all the guys in the back, to the NEW DX!!!!

---Commercial Break---

(Back Stage) Kevin Nash is talking with his old buddy Scott Hall. They are talking about how DX has just reformed, and they need some competition.

Nash-"Just like the DX just came back, so did another tag. The nWo. We are far more dominant then DX ever was, and we'll prove it next week. We accept the challenge."

            Nash walks off and just after doing so the sandman attacks Hall with his Singapore cane.

Sandman-"You and your buddy feel its right to issue challenges when ever you want, fine! We will too. My pal Tommy dreamer had a run in with Nash earlier, so we issue a challenge to the nWo tonight. It will be the nWo vs. the Extremists. See ya later."

            The Sandman gives on last whack to the head of hall before he leaves to prepare.

(Match 4-Bobby Lashley vs. Umaga vs. Matt Hardy--U.S. championship---Triple Threat-Last Man Standing-Elimination Match)

Referee-"The following match is a Triple Threat-Last Man Standing-Elimination Match, and it is for the Untied States Championship. Introducing First. Matt Hardy. And his opponent...Umaga. And the last participant, Bobby Lashley."

            Just as the bell rings, Umaga and Bobby Lashley go for a clothesline on the weakest man, Matt Hardy. He ducks and nails the men with a dropkick to both. Hardy grabs Umaga and throws him to the corner. He pummels him until Lashley throws back Hardy, and then continues himself on Umaga. Hardy pulls Lashley back, and pummels again. Bobby pulls off Hardy and they argue. Umaga takes the opportunity and climbs the turnbuckle. Lashley turns, but too late, Umaga jumps and nails both with a flying clothesline. Umaga throws Lashley out of the ring onto the apron below. Matt attacks from behind, and throws Umaga overboard as well. Hardy runs and flies onto the men just getting back to their feet. All three men are now outside the ring. But there are no count outs, or DQ's either, since it is a last man standing. And the no dq just takes effect. Matt whips Umaga to the stairs, but he reverses and Hardy is sent into them shoulder first. Umaga turns to see where Lashley is, but finds that the taste of steel isn't good as Lashley smacks Umaga with a chair. Hardy gets slowly up and Lashley signals for him to climb. Lashley puts Umaga on the announcer table as Matt goes to climb. But he doesn't. He has a better idea. He goes to the side of the ring, and pulls out his friend; a ladder. Matt sets up the ladder inside the ring, and climbs to the top. Lashley gives one final blow to Umaga's head, and backs away. Hardy leaps off the ladder and leg drops onto Umaga. But Hardy never makes it. Bobby Lashley smacks Matt with the steel chair that hit Umaga. The ref counts and Matt hardy cannot get up on his feet.

(Matt Hardy has been eliminated.)

            Umaga wakes and goes after Bobby Lashley. From behind, Umaga does a reverse suplex and puts Lashley onto the steel steps. He goes on top of the announcer table and does a rump shaker off onto Lashley and the stairs below, and misses. Umaga lands square on his rear end, sending a shock up his spine. Lashley sets up the ring with the ladder put in the corner. He dragged him and whipped him into the ladder hard. And then.......the spear. Umaga falls. The ref counts up and Lashley sets the ladder and climbs it. 8...9...10! Bobby Lashley is the new US champion. He is given the belt and celebrates on top of the ladder.

---Commercial Break---

{Match 5-nWo (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) vs. Extremists (Sandman and Tommy Dreamer)}

            The nWo comes out first, and pissed off as ever. But they only make it half way down the ramp when the extremists come with steel chairs and attack the men. But the chairs aren't alone. They are covered with barbed wire. Nash and hall receive the chairs in the middle of their foreheads, knocking them down and busting them open. What a rude awakening, but a clear sign to not mess with the ECW. Sandman and Dreamer grab the men by their hair and throw them into the ring. The match begins. Nash and Hall bounce back with big boots to their attackers. And now sandman and dreamer are on the receiving end. Nash picks up Dreamer and jackknifes the man onto the chair he brought with. And hall delivers a razor's edge onto the chair that the sandman brought. The nWo then takes the chairs and smacks the ECW in the head, busting open those men. The ref call for the dq, but hall and Nash perform a conchairto to the ref, who just gushes blood. The nWo would have continued their path of destruction, but the D-Generation X music plays. Out from the crowd, X-Pac and Michaels appear and attack their opponents for next week. But the nWo will wait for next week, for that match, and they run out into the crow on the other side. Kevin Nash is chased away by Shawn Michaels to the back, but Scott Hall wasn't so lucky. X-Pac trailed right behind him, and he had no choice but to climb to the second balcony. X-Pac trailed him and with nowhere to go, hall turned around with the thought of fighting back. But that was too late. The x-factor connected, and Scott Hall was out. A female fan nearby screamed in horror. Just then, a look of evil gleamed in the eyes of x-Pac. See, DX is back, but not for good. This time, DX is in it for themselves, and there is no mercy. X-Pac grabbed the woman, put her by the edge and gave the signal. "SUCK IT!!!" and just then the x-factor sent the woman off the edge into a pile of wires, boxes and tables below. An evil laugh came from the back as Shawn Michaels reappeared. The two men stood there looking at the horror they created below. Soon after that police came to escort the two away.

---Commercial Break---

(Back stage) DX has been handcuffed and escorted to the back.

Shawn-"Great night buddy."

Pac-"yeah. Next week will be better though. Hey, what happened to Nash?"

Shawn-"I don’t know, he said he was going for a ride. We'll see him next week anyways"

            The men were put in the back of the squad car. As the car leaves, so does Kevin Nash. He is tied to a rope that is tied to the bumper of the squad car. And away they go.
