Tazz on McMahon & ECW
Permalink Closed

Tazz has voiced his disappointment and shame regarding the recent releasing of the Dudleys from WWE. Tazz has been quoted to say it was a mistake. Regarding the differences between Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman, Tazz said McMahon is more business and Heyman was more “one of the boys.” He said you hear more from McMahon when you screw up than when you do well, but it’s expected that you’ll do well.

He also said he was happy with the ECW reunion show, however isn’t keen on seeing ECW kept in Vince’s vision. Apparently McMahon kept a close eye on Paul Heyman, however did let him run and plan the show.

Tazz went on to say that he would’ve loved the opportunity to wrestle at the show, however due to problems he experiences in his neck, this prevented him from doing so.

Tazz said he is a bit embarrassed about how he used to act backstage when he took his gimmick so seriously, but he has matured now and has a family. He said Joey Styles noticed his new attitude and complimented him on the calmer demeanour. He also said nobody can match Michael Cole at partying and drinking.

Well, Micheal Cole is the drinker, I have to say I didn't see that one comming.

I can understand what he's getting at by not wanting ECW in Vince's vision, as Vince would only screw it up. Personally, I think Paul should quit WWE, or leave when his contract expires, get a bunch of guys together, and make ECW come to life again. I mean, I'm sure there are a bunch of wrestlers who would leave WWE for it. Like, I think the Mexicools would, and probably Tazz.

That would be cool to bring ecw back but with paul heyman running it. I pretty much missed it's first go around so i would love to see it.

As for michael cole? Who would of thought he was a party animal? Maybe tazz is just kidding?

Maybe, I mean, I just can't picture Cole out partying or anything like that.

I'm not sure Tazz would leave. I mean he couldn't wrestle at one nite stand because of his neck injuries so why go back to ECW when he couldn't wrestle? Joey Styles would be the voice of it so unless they were announcing partners Tazz would have to be a backstage tool. The injuried many ECW stars have could keep them from returning. Like Sabu, if a returned ECW traveled as much as WWE they'd have the same problem that WWE saw when looking to hire Sabu. His body couldn't hold up to the exhausting travel conditions that WWE superstars have. God only knows the physical conditions of Sandman and Tommy Dreamer. They might do it anyway because they love it but would they physically be able to keep it up?

Oops I forgot to comment on Cole. I could see it, it's always the ones you least expect. And with how much he gets teased on air I bet he needs a few good strong drinks once he gets home after being humiliated on international tv.

Cole reminds me of the type who's a closet drinker, like as soon as he gets home he has to have a hot toddy.

And Tommy Dreamer would so still wrestle, you read his letter in the magazine, do you have to ask.

As for Sandman, he does still wrestle, he takes independent bookings. Remember, cause he found Rhino not too long ago.
