ECW

The ECW subsite over at WWE.com was officially taken down. The pages themselves still exist if you type the URL in directly, but all links to the mini-site has been removed from the main WWE.com listing.

That sucks, I think WWE should've kept the site up, at least for the big time ECW fans. But, whatever.

They could've kept it up on WWE.com but its not like they could update on it. They couldn't post where ECW stars will be b/c it would be advertising other wrestling corporations. What would they have done with it?

They could've posted some stars, like Sandman, cause their independent, and well... I don't know, I would've just preferred it up.

Yeah, since they're think of doing an ECW pay per view once a year. We'll probably be seeing more of it later on.

According to PWInsider.com, Shane Douglas is in the process of finalizing dates to take "Hardcore Homecoming" on the road this fall. The prospective markets include Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Florida, Buffalo and Poughkeepsie; fans will get to vote on venues soon via a poll on the official website.

There was originally talk of running several shows in New York on the weekend of 8/20, but nothing materialized. At this point, the plan is to get the show on the road in late September or October.

Not quite ECW but at least people like The Sandman and Tommy Dreamer would continue to be seen. How cool would that be if Hardcore Homecoming took off and challenged WWE? A big dream right now but who knows crazier things have happened.

I doubt 'Hardcore Homecoming' will come to challenge WWE, as WWE is already seriously considering the idea of an ECW pay per view once or twice a year. So HH could never take off enough to challenge WWE with most of it's wrestlers doing a pay per view for him on a yearly basis.

Although, I really can't say I care either way, just as long as Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, and Sabu come to Florida so I can go see them.

Ditto. I want to see the big ECW names in person. I really wish ECW could somehow come back. With all the remaining original stars and all the new ones that could live up to the name. We can only hope though. We are what keeps ECW alive so we just have to keep hoping.

You should, if we all write, and we tell everyone else to, then it might become an epidemic, and then WWE would have to acknowledge us, and then they'd have to listen, and if we can get them to listen, then we can begin our slow take over.........

.......soon, my sweets..... soon, we will rule the world!!!!....and we'll do it one letter at a time......watch your back Vincey.......*insane, sugar high induced, laughter*

Forget the free merchandise, if we annoy them enough, maybe they'll just send us the wrestlers themselves.

We could call it IWF and then when people won guild contests they wouldn't get a free item anymore. They would get free tickets to come see the IWF live.

Well maybe if one of us becomes rich then we can buy the company and rule it the way we want. Could u imagine three girls running the WWE?

It would be more hardcore than anything Vince could do. We would bring all new light to wrestling. We'd make it huge.

As far as making new matches, my first movw would be to remove an aspect of an old match.... I would make it illegal to call the Hell in a Cell a demonic structure.

haha. We should make like a new form of a ladder match or something since those along with cage matches are my favorite. And then bring jeff hardy back and have him be in the first match with shawn michaels because that would be really cool.

I think we should cross a TLC match, with a cage match. Like, have the regular Hell in a Cell cage, and then a smaller cage on top of that with all the weapons in it.

For anyone whose ever seen Ready to Rumble with David Arquette and Jimmy King.

The triple layer steel cage match where you have to climb all three levels of the cage to win. That or like the old ECW scaffold match like Tommy Dreamer's match vs. Brian Lee. Those were cool.
